Clash of Clans has become far too focused on monetization. Progression takes an extremely long time unless you spend money, and nearly every update adds more paid offers. The constant pop-ups and expensive bundles make the game feel greedy. While the core gameplay is still decent, the overall experience is no longer worth it. I can't recommend it.

I love clash but there is a serious issue where it will kick me out and say please reload game due to network issues. There is nothing wrong with my network, and it's very frustrating when you're trying to go to attack and war and it just tells you to reload so you don't get your attack off... help me fix that and I'll give you a five stars. update 5-17-26: it's getting worse and it crashes on launch this is a newer phone but I'm not having any issue on my PC playing it...

After a year of grinding, and buying gold/event passes, Supercell just released an update that invalidates most of the progress I achieved. New players get my current level of hero equipment progress for free, and can easily overtake me, while I get nothing and am still years away from maxing it out, despite playing actively every day and spending money on the game. For context, if I didn't focus on upgrading my heroes, I'd get 2,5k starry ores, which is ~1 year of progress.
